January 2014
At the beginning of January there was not much snow in Romania so Your Guide team went out for a mountaineering day in Bucegi Mountains. It was a perfect sunny day when our team started to climb Albisoara Crucii in Bucegi Mountains. Due to the lack of snow the route was more technical than usual, with many sections of mixed climbing. As a reward for this climb we were able to watch a mother bear with two cubs and a group of chamois in their element. We chose Valea Alba to descend and were very happy with this decision. On the way down we found a perfect place for ice climbing practice so we could not resist to give it a try. The final reward was an edelweiss that looked like a snow drop blooming out of the snow. You can enjoy the pictures here and feel part of the adventure.
